Lord of the Rings Trilogy Summary pdf:
The novel starts with prologue showing Dark Lord Sauron who created One Ring to rule over the middle earth. The One Ring is to rule over other Rings of Power and corrupt their owners i.e. humans, elves and dwarfs. Sauron is later defeated by alliance of elves and men and one of the men takes claim of the Ring. But he too is ambushed by Orcs and killed and the Ring gets lost in the River Anduin.
After 2000 years, a river folk Deagol founds the Ring. But his friend Smeagol, under the influence of ring, kills Deagol and takes the Ring. After that he banishes but gets a long life due to the Ring. After hundreds of years Smeagol turns into an ominous Gollum and eventually loses the Ring, which falls into the hands of Bilbo Baggins, an elf. The rest of the story follows the struggle for the sake of the Ring.
